This Thanksgiving Joe and I flew home and surprised Carrie at the baby shower my mom and Abby threw for her. And while we were celebrating her baby--my future nephew (due at the end of Feb!)--we got to spend lots of time playing with my existing nephew, Benjamin. Between cycles of feeding and sleeping, with a good deal of crying on either side of those activities, he has about 15 minutes of smiling, drooly happiness, at which time I was always suddenly available to hold him.
