This morning I went to the gym for the first time in several weeks. I did 30 minutes at a very easy pace on the elliptical machine, and I'm now thinking that was about 25 minutes too long. I have been ravenous ever since. Here's what I've eaten today:
- large bowl of Total Raisin Bran
- a quart of orange juice
- three pieces of toast
- two granola bars
- green grapes
- a bowl of split pea and ham soup
- three glasses of milk
- four liters of water
- string cheese
- two handfuls of pretzels
- a piece of pizza
- a package of graham crackers
Now it's 5pm and I just tried to lie down for a nap in an effort to not eat anything before Joe gets home for dinner. But I was so hungry I couldn't sleep, so I just ate another granola bar. And now I have heartburn (by the way, I had never experienced heartburn before pregnancy, and if any of you had ever doubted, it totally sucks).
To distract myself I'm typing this post, but what I'm really thinking about is the leftover pasta in the fridge, and how good a bowl of ice cream would taste after that pasta. Followed by a decaf latte. And a brownie. And then maybe a small bedtime snack...
