Catching Up

It's been awhile. Here's what we've been up to since my last post:
  • My women's tennis team went to districts. My mixed doubles team that placed second in the state for 7.0 just missed districts by one match for the 7.5 season. And now I haven't played tennis in months.
  • I traveled to Olympia, WA, then to Winona, MN, then back to Olympia, then back to MN, and then to MN again.
  • Joe traveled to TX more times than is good for a person. He also went hunting three times in CO and once in MN, all without any success. Sorry dear. But thanks for not killing anything we have to eat.
  • We decided to put our house on the market, and it's officially open for showings tomorrow.
  • And finally, I'm pregnant!
It's been a busy few months. There were a few weeks in September and October where Joe and I only saw each other while crossing paths at the airport, which probably worked out in Joe's favor, since the first few months of my pregnancy made me less than great company. I don't really recommend combining frequent air travel with morning sickness. However, I'm now 16 weeks and into my second trimester. This means I'm feeling much better--and that I can no longer fit into any of my pants. Luckily for me this means I have an excuse to wear extremely stretchy pants just in time for the holidays. I've never been so comfortable after a Thanksgiving meal.

We're planning to find out the sex of the baby, but that won't happen until the beginning of January. So you've all got a month to take the poll and let me know whether you think we'll be having a boy or girl. Notice, dear friends from college, that there is no option to vote for triplet boys with ADHD. We've had an ultrasound and we can at least rule out the triplet part. There's just one baby in there. As for the ADHD, we've got a few years before I can hopefully prove you wrong. But if you want to recant your prediction and wish for something nice, like curly hair or all ten toes, I wouldn't complain.

  1. I just wanted to vote for "boy".
But it was not possible, becaus it says that you have to be signed in to vote. So, please click on boy for me! :-)

  2. I haven't found a way around that sign-in issue yet, but I'm still looking for a different option. Until then, I'll add your vote!

  5. Okay, okay...

    I hope for:

    Ten fingers,
    ten toes,
    lots of curly hair,
    a brilliant mind,
    and a gorgeous smile.
